My name is Syver aas-bakke
I’m a photographer, videographer and creative director from Oslo, Norway.
I started taking pictures about six years ago, when my dad bought a small compact camera from Sony. Whenever we went on family trips or such, I would hijack the camera, and run around taking pictures of just about everything I could find. Most of the pictures turned out to be pretty bad, but even back then, I actually got some pictures that weren’t too bad (like the one underneath).

Since then, I’ve been trying out a lot of different photography genres. Everything from products to wildlife, from architecture to portraits. I’ve done a lot of sports photography and found that to be both challenging, and extremely fun. And while all of these genres are fun, I’ve found that for me, landscapes and portraits are definitely the two I enjoy the most. Getting to capture all sorts of different people is an amazing experience. And capturing the wonders of the world, at sunset, before anyone else arrives, is just an experience that can’t be put into words.

After a few years of using my dad’s camera, I decided that enough was enough. So I went out and bought myself an entry-level DSLR from Canon, a 750D, with a kit lens. As soon as I got it in the mail, I started taking pictures of everything. From the flowers in our garden to the books on our bookshelves, to birds in the nearby lake. Photography had taken a hold of me, and I hope it never let’s go.

Currently, I am taking a bachelors degree in media and communications at OsloMet. While I am doing that, I am also running my buisness. In the “work” section of my page, you can see some of the projects I have done in the past. Under the “gallery” section, you can also find a selection of images I’ve taken. If you need a photographer or a videographer, and you like what you see, send me an e-mail, and I’ll get back to you, to see how we can create some kick-ass content together.
